Museum Visit - Volcano Focus

Today Rooms 5&6 went to Auckland Museum to learn more about the Earth's Geosphere, focussing on volcanoes. They had an little while to explore the volcano exhibition and the earthquake/volcano room (a simulator). Then they had a workshop with a volcanologist names Josh who taught them about the three main types of volcanic eruptions - explosive, fire fountain and lava flow - and the rocks that come from each. They also explored the importance of survival kits in the event of a natural disaster.
